KJS investment driven by demand

KJS Print to Mail has invested in a further £400,000 worth of kit as the firm has struggled to keep up with demand before its relocation to new premises. The investment has allowed the company to increase production capacity within the print and direct mail sector.

The investment will allow the firm to keep up with the demands of their local and national customer base

The expansion also incorporates an increase in the firm’s members of staff, with an additional three joining the existing cohort.

Managing director, Stuart Speechley, comments: “For KJS the issue is keeping up with our sales growth that has increased by over £350,000 year on year over the last few years. The need to stay up with technology has been paramount to us also giving our customers the highest quality product at very competitive prices and quick turnaround times.”

The Peterborough-based firm originally invested in LED UV litho printing machines, worth around £600,000. The newest kit includes a Horizon cross folder AFC-566FG, a Xerox Versant 3100 digital printing press and Xerox Nuvera157 EA production system, and a Prism 92 guillotine that will be installed in September.

Our clients constantly require high quality print, a fast turnaround time, next day and quite often the same day delivery. Investments like these are paramount to ensuring we can provide this level of quality and service

Speechley continues: “This is new additional printing equipment, we have had a long-standing relationship with Xerox, and we already had a track record of the service they provide with our current digital presses and in our view the Xerox is still the best digital printer on the market today. Combining print speed, print quality and versatility.

“This new equipment gives us a lot more flexibility on sheet variations, a higher quality image and at a more completive rate. Our clients constantly require high quality print, a fast turnaround time, next day and quite often the same day delivery. Investments like these are paramount to ensuring we can provide this level of quality and service.”

Further technology includes the installation of the latest management information systems (MIS).
