TI Media hands boost to UK magazine publishing

UK publishing house TI Media has set out plans to launch a new travel magazine product, in a move that will come as a huge boost to the UK publishing sector.

TI Media also counts the likes of woman&home and Country Life among its range of magazines

Aimed at a 40+ audience with a female bias, The Caribou will focus on luxury, family and activity holidays, offering inspiration to readers as to where they can go on their next holiday.

The Caribou will first go live as a website, followed by the launch of a bi-annual luxury print product in September 2020.

Dominic Eddon, head of Travel at TI Media, adds: "The Caribou will offer advertisers a fantastic opportunity to be aligned with trusted, authoritative and passion-based content from more than 35 well established titles in the TI Media portfolio.

“At a time of uncertainty and change in the travel market, this new proposition will offer consumers variety and inspiration when considering their next holiday choice and give advertisers a safe and trusted environment to promote their destinations and promotions.”

Eddon’s comments about the travel sector, following the collapse of Thomas Cook, will also ring true in the UK magazine publishing markets, with a number of titles having suffered in recent years.

However, the move by TI Media to launch a new title at this time shows there is still a high level of confidence in magazines and that they still have a place in the modern market.
