Intec Printing Solutions has announced the launch of its new Color Cut Flatbed cutters, saying that the machines are set to offer “ground breaking” results for the industry.

Ian Melville, managing director of Intec, has overseen the development of the Intec product line-up

Featured in the new portfolio are four models; ranging from the Color Cut FB520 SRA3 520mm option, through to the top-of-the-range Color Cut FB1060 1,060mm model.

All models in the new range are able to cut and crease simultaneously, which the manufacturer says will allow customers to speed up production when it comes to speciality print needs.

Users will benefit from a unique APP, which can plug into Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw so that the cutter can be controlled from a desktop computer, further enhancing the user experience.

These flatbed cutters are ideal for short run packaging, greetings cards, point of sale, tags, signs, label production and much, much more

In addition, as a further advantage for customers, Color Cut Flatbed cutters can be used in conjunction with an Intec Color Flare to allow users to add metallic finishes, holograms, lamination and other special effects to products.

Expanding on this, Intec says in a statement: “These flatbed cutters are ideal for short run packaging, greetings cards, point of sale, tags, signs, label production and much, much more.

“Now you can take your printed sheets produced on toner based digital presses, by inkjet or litho and turn them into finished products. This adds enormous value to your printed output.”
