The KAS KF640 booklet-making system will be one of several highlights on the Ashgate stand

Ashgate, which will appear on Stand D01 at the exhibition, will invite visitors to learn about the KAS KF640 booklet-making system. According to Ashgate, the device is the first of its kind with the ability to produce a maximum booklet size of 320mm x 320mm, as well as common sizes such as A4 landscape and 12” x 12”

The KAS KF640 operates at 1,000 books an hour and will handle a maximum sheet size of 640mm x 320mm.

Lewis Price, managing director of Ashgate, comments: “At under £16,000 for the bookletmaker and trimmer and sub £22,000 with our in-line square fold unit, it really punches above its weight. For short to medium runs, the KF 640 is ideal because it is simple to set up, adjust and change from one size to another.”

Also featuring on the Ashgate stand will be solutions from the Fastbind range, including the Fastbind PUREVA XT, which gives users the choice of EVA hot melt or PUR glue on one table-top machine.

“Fast and easy, you can bind soft and hard covers with confidence, using economical EVA hot melt glue for everyday jobs or PUR glue for those demanding applications,” Price says.

In addition, visitors can see the Fastbind H46PRO for case-making books and photo albums up to A3 formats, as well as the new semi-automated Fastbind Casematic a46a casemaker.

“With all the features of Fastbind’s standard Casematic, the new a46a takes case-making to the next level with some new innovations, making it faster and more consistent,” Price adds.
