Heidelberg set for colourful autumn open house

Industry giant Heidelberg has confirmed ‘Colour Days’ as the theme for its autumn open house events—helping mark the third anniversary of the firm’s ISO 12647-2 colour quality certification.

The Heidelberg will use its autumn open days to demonstrate its ability to service colour quality

Taking place on October 8th and 9th, the events will be hosted at the firm’s national showroom in Brentford.

Heidelberg says the open house will once again pick up on the important subject of colour—with the event coming three years after it launched its ISO certification to enable customers to meet and maintain the colour quality standard.

Mark Hogan, marketing director, believes colour is a ‘premium’ and it is critical for all print companies to remember its importance.

He adds: “Get it right and you produce profitable print. Get it wrong and you compromise you client’s brand, you face a dispute over payment for that job and you lose a customer.

It has never been easier for printers to achieve and retain great colour quality on the run and from run to run

“Customers need to know the colour will be right and adapted to the substrate used and that it is reproducible time after time.”

As part of the firm’s commitment to colour quality, it will be showcasing the range of technology and service it can provide to help printers.

Heidelberg will demonstrate the power of its Prinect workflows and how such technology can support companies.

Hogan was also keen to highlight the firm’s comprehensive measurement range—Inpress Control, Image Control, Axis Control and Easy Contral—which, when combined with Prinect, provide fully closed loop colour.

“It has never been easier for printers to achieve and retain great colour quality on the run and from run to run,” he adds.
