Matthews the Printers has donated £4,000 to build a borehole well in Uganda

The charity that Matthews will partner with is Fields of Life, which aims to provide over one million people across the African continent with clean water. The charity has already worked to build over 117 schools, and 580 wells in Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Managing director of Matthews, Christopher Riddell, comments: “We are delighted to be supporting Fields of Life and to be able to change many lives in this way. We look forward to seeing the well completed and seeing the positive results that we have been part of.”

It is truly wonderful to have the support of Matthews and we could not be more thankful for the help they have given us to change lives

Deborah Cameron, head of development and fundraising GB at Fields of Life, adds: “It is truly wonderful to have the support of Matthews and we could not be more thankful for the help they have given us to change lives.

“Our team are always excited about the possibilities that can be realised thanks to such generosity and most importantly, the many lives that will be positively affected.”

The money donated by Matthews will help to drill a borehole well, and will allow those living in the community access to clean water, which will enhance quality of life and health, as well as added protection from diseases which can be transmitted through dirty water.
