Highcon names Bar-Shany as new chair
Digital cutting and creasing machines developer Highcon has appointed Alon Bar-Shany, the former general manager of HP Indigo, as the new chairman of its board.

Bar-Shany will take over from Amichai Steimberg, who held the position since the middle of 2020 and oversaw the company’s successful IPO process.
Highcon’s board features a number of other leading names in print, including Indigo founder and current Landa Group chairman Benny Landa, as well as Adina Shorr, the former chief executive of Object, Scodix and CellGuide.
“Highcon has been a pioneer in the digitalisation of the post-print part of the process which, after the growing adoption of digital printing, is where many bottlenecks now occur,” Bar-Shany says.

Meanwhile, Highcon has also appointed Simon Lewis as its new vice president of marketing.
Lewis has worked in print for 27 years and spent the last 14 years at HP Indigo where, most recently serving as regional business manager in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
