EFI and Xerox reveal details of the latest development in their long-established partnership

The key features of the FFPS will integrate with EFI’s Fiery software, providing customers with EFI’s resources while maintaining access to Xerox sales representatives to provide the highest standard of service.

Guy Gecht, chief executive officer of EFI, comments: “This next step in our strategic alliance will give customers the industry’s highest performing DFE with unparalleled imaging and colour management.

“EFI integration among the digital front end, workflow software, and management information systems products deliver the higher levels of automation and productivity that are key to print businesses taking full advantage of the opportunities with digital printing.”

Customers will gain a powerful solution with more efficiencies, performance and quality to meet the most demanding production requirements

This development marks the latest move in an ongoing partnership between the two organisations, with Xerox and EFI recently working together on the creation of a new print server, the Xerox IJ Print Server powered by EFI’s Fiery, for the Xerox Trivor 2400 inkjet press. At the recent EFI Connect conference in Las Vegas, Gecht and new Xerox chief executive officer Jeff Jacobson took part in a ‘fireside chat’, touching on highlights of the working relationship the two businesses share.

Andrew Copley, president of graphic communication solutions at Xerox, adds: “Customers will gain a powerful solution with more efficiencies, performance and quality to meet the most demanding production requirements.
“EFI is an industry leader and has a proven track record with performance, ease of use and seamless integration with industry workflow solutions.”
