The Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business unit of Mutoh has released two new wide-format roll-fed inkjet printers to its respective markets.

The XpertJet 1641SR and XpertJet 1682SR are both piezo drop-on-demand roll-fed inkjet printers designed for the sign and display markets.

Manufactured in Japan, the successors of the company’s award-winning ValueJet range feature a new look and a new seven-colour CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta and Light Black ink set.

The XpertJet 1641SR is a single head four-colour model and the XpertJet 1682SR is a dual staggered head model for both 2x4 colour setup and seven-colour setup.

Mutoh has been a pioneer in sign and display printers ever since 2004. XpertJet is already our fifth generation of sign and display printers

Kenji Yasuhara, managing director of Mutoh, Europe comments: “Mutoh has been a pioneer in sign and display printers ever since 2004. XpertJet is already our fifth generation of sign and display printers.

“The XPJ-1641SR and XPJ-1682SR offer an excellent balance between the capacity for speed production print work and top quality print work. The new additional Lc, Lm and Lk colours of our new MS-41 series ink set will also bring extra quality to businesses focusing on highest quality prints with smooth skin tones and gradients for short viewing distances.”
