Emporio Armani pushes the boundaries of marketing

A billboard advertisement, which features a woman literally stepping out of the background, is an indication of the growing relationship between 3D printing and out-of-home (OOH) advertisement.

Fashion-forward luxury creative brand Emporio Armani is behind the design, which was brought to life by Colorzenith and its large-format Massivit 3D printer.

The advertisement celebrates the launch of newly released Emporio Armani trainers and features an enormous 3D printed version of the shoe coming out from the 78.74ft by 45.93ft board.

The 3D printed trainer measures in at 6.22ft by 3.2ft by 1.64ft and weight 20kg. Using its Massivit 3D large-format printer, Colorzenith was able to produce the shoe in just 19 hours, finishing it off with polyurethane paint.
